Baby bum sore and red.
Daddy lifts him out of bed
“When you wake up from your dream,
I’ll soothe you with a diaper cream.
To make you feel clean and calm
Daddy trusts this diaper balm.”

B H T he does not know
And B H A a baby’s foe
Parabens and Lanolin
Toxins hidden deep within.
Fragrance? Not considered great
This diaper balm is not first rate

This dadddy was just unaware. No parent would purposely choose any product with questionable ingredients for their baby. We should be able to trust our baby products. The balm purchased was not a good choice, but he trusted that it was.

For centuries healthy mommies breastfed and had heathy babies. They put shea butter, argan oil oil, emu oil, coconut, concoctions of beeswax salves made with good natural oils on themselves and on their babies.  Today many third world countries, who once had healthy skin nourished by nature are now harming their skins and contributing to the plastic wastes by consuming commercial made cosmetics.

However, rest assured, some baby balms out there are first rate.

Many companies do take pride in avoiding the following: Fragrance, Mineral Oil, Parabens, Phenoxythanol, Sodium Laural Sulphate, Polyethylene glycol (PEG)

A baby’s skin is much thinner than ours. It continues to develop as the baby grows and until this happens the skin will react to the chemicals that are too prevalent in many baby skin care products.  Soaps, shampoos and washes contain toxins that harm the baby’s sensitive skin barrier. A pure castile soap or blend is perfect. We need to concentrate on feeding the baby’s skin only good nutrition.

Buy only purely natural skin products for your baby. Beware of being offered hospital freebies when baby is born. They are not necessarily approved by the hospital, but instead may have been donated by companies who hope to have you as a future customer.  Always fun to receive freebies, but it may not be in your best interest.

We can also give you great suggestions to help with any skin issues your baby may have. We offer our organic baby package, emu oil, argan oil, sheamu butter, neem salve, zinc blend, moringa soap and more.
