So warm.  Yet cool.Calming and sensual. The candle wax and you.A romantic tryst between skin and softness. Soy nourishes the skin, making it supple and soft and feeling oh so good. Light a candle.  Relax and watch as the melted pool of deliciously nutritious wax forms. Carefully dip into the pool of melted oil and massage onto the skin.  (You can blow out the candle or carefully dip beneath it. Soy wax is NOT hot. It will not burn you so no worries as you dip.)  Choose from a variety of intoxicating natural scents, or no scent at all.  Our 'scents' are natural…
"I am a visiitng blogger.  Thank you, Earth to Body!.  I just had to tell my story."  T. S., Victoria, BC My boys are eight and ten. About the age of the boys in the stock photo, but mine would be wearing helmets....Obviously. They are rough and tumble. They are energetic and spirited. And sometimes borderline CRAZY. Especially my youngest, who inevitably tries to keep up with his older brother, all of his older brother's friends, and the older neighborhood boys.  To a mother's dismay, they sometimes get hurt! They sometimes come home with road rash and scrapes and…
It just never stops. Tamanu is a ‘drift seed’ like  a coconut.  Their shells, imperious to the sea waters, can float for months, even years, at sea.  This miracal nut travels the ocean waves, and if nature so chooses, it takes root on the coastal sands of the south pacific islands, maturing into the famed tamanu tree. This tree also grows on the mainlands and coasts of South Asia. The oil is successfully stored at room temperature.Tamanu oil should be a rich, dark green colour.  Not black. A black oil may indicate that the tamanu has been mixed or thrown in a…
Nature not only provides beauty, but also goodness.  The nutrients from fruit, nuts, flowers, leaves, bark and roots can sustain life. While oranges may conjure up an association with Vitamin C, as do apples, papaya, kale and tomatoes, we should also remember that this renowned water soluble vitamin is found in in many other plant sources. This amazing vitamin ( aka ascorbic acid) is not only excellent to ingest, but is also an important nourishment for the skin.  It shields the skin from damaging free radicals.**

Halloween is one of kid’s favorite holidays. Transforming them selves. Leaving the house after dark.  Entering neighbor’s spooky yards. And of course, to Mom’s detriment… the sugar rush. But should we stop to consider if this is all safe? We talk about street safety, but there are other elements we need to consider while they morph into gooey goblins. The three biggest Halloween poisons are face paint, hair products and unfortunately… yes…candy. There are ways to enjoy the experience of Halloween WITHOUT risking our kid’s health. We wouldn’t think that children’s products would…
Chia. Chia.  A super food for body and skin.  Sustaining, nourishing and gourmet. This beautiful purple flowered herb (Mint family) is native to Mexico and Guatemala. It is the Chia seed that people love. - Rich in fiber and protein and has more omega 3 than flaxseed. - A good source of B vitamins and dietary minerals.- One of nature’s richest antioxidants (this means that chia generously removes the damaging oxidizing agents in a living organism). We all know the harmful effects of the sun. Sunburn. Heat stroke. Premature skin aging. Skin Damage. Skin disease. And of course the “Big C”. And that’s not to mention the depletion of the ozone, increasing the sun’s ultraviolet radiation, and in turn amplifying all of the above stated disasters. Our poor sun has gotten quite the bad rep. But drenching ourselves in oxybenzone, retinyl palmitate and butyl-methdiebenzoylmethane doesn’t seem like the best alternative. These carcinogens release free radicals into the body, cause thyroid damage and yes… believe it or not… even cause cancer! What…
